When I was in college, I HARDCORE struggled with uncertainty about my future career. I had big dreams but often felt overwhelmed by the apparently-simple-but-not-actually-simple steps needed to achieve them. Finally, a mentor introduced me to the concept of purposeful visualization. I didn’t realize it, but I was unconsciously yet actively using it in a way that sabotaged my efforts! Once I learned more about the positive aspects of it, and a little bit more about how I personally worked, I started creating vision boards and practicing mental imagery, and it genuinely helped SO MUCH. Suddenly, my goals felt more tangible, more doable, and I had a clear path to follow.
